Pureoflow addresses the need for clean water in LDC's.

According to the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon the lack of safe water perpetuates poverty in the least developed countries (LDC’s). Since 1990, approximately 1.7 billion people have gained access to safe drinking water, however 900 million still do not do not have access to clean water.

“Living in these conditions increases the likelihood of disease and death,” Ban Ki-Moon told participants on September 22, 2010 at an event held at the UN Headquarters called “Addressing the Global Water and Sanitation Challenge: The Key to the MDGs.” The UN has made it a point to spotlight the issue through its “Water for Life” campaign.

Four regions have already surpassed the MGDs, or the Millennium Development Goals, including Northern Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and South Eastern Asia.

Pureoflow has helped, in particular the Northern African country of Mozambique to reach their goal in obtaining clean water by donating a custom made water purification system to a rural village.

Mozambique’s limited access to raw water supplies makes it dependent on its neighbors upstream for about 50 percent of its surface water. Roughly 75 percent of the population in Mozambique relies on groundwater sources. Mozambique is also particularly vulnerable to cyclical natural disasters.

Tom Cartwright, CEO of PureOFlow says, “While the main causes of death are Diarrhea and Cholera, let’s not forget that this region of the world has high-prevalence rates of HIV/AIDS, and particularly in Cholera-affected regions.

PureOFlow custom-designed and delivered at no charge, a non-electric water purification system for the people in this village. Up until now, their water was so bad they could not even grow their own crops. After the PureOFlow system was installed, they have clean, healthy and SAFE drinking water along with water for irrigating their fields using two modified LifeOPure systems with special pretreatment.

The PureOFlow reverse osmosis (RO) system removes up to 98 percent of the substances found in water both natural—such as hard water salts, and manmade contaminants. Unlike any other water purification system on the market, PureOFlow utilizes a special membrane technology through an exclusive licensing agreement with GE. As water passes through a PureOFlow system containing a series of membranes, particles as small as 1,000th the width of a human hair are eliminated along with any trace-amounts of contaminants in drinking water.

This revolutionary technology is a new approach to water purification that delivers desalination and purification in one system, offering the most resourceful and cost-efficient water purification on the market.

Design your home around this System ...

I remember a commercial where a renowned architect was showing prospective customers his fine works and the wife pulls out a fancy faucet and says, "Design a house around this." As a proud homeowner myself, it struck me that women pay a lot of attention to bathroom and kitchen fixtures for two reasons. They generally spend a lot of time in these areas so they want these fixtures to look elegant and reflect their personal style. It also means that they are usually the ones who ensure that these fixtures are kept clean and looking like new when they welcome family and friends into their home.

I have also come to realize that the best way to keeping these fixtures looking or working like new for a lot longer is to make sure that the water that comes out of the tap does not have any hardness or softeners because the "crust" that forms around the base of the faucet or the sediment build-up that blocks the water flow from the spigot. Been there before.

No matter how much you may spend on designer sinks, tubs or faucets, the quality of the water determines how well it is going to last.

So, as the song goes, "Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start, when you read you begin with ABC," when you build you begin with PureOFlow. A PureOFlow system will purify the water, removing upto 98% of contaminants including hard minerals. It does not use salts or any other additives that will form a sediment in the pipes or taps and eventually end up in the environment.

In a recent customer satisfaction survey, customers were unabashedly thrilled to have the PureOFlow system because of the quality of the water on their skin, on their clothes, on their fixtures, on their heirloom dishes, in addition to all the drinking and food preparation. It's almost like taking purified bottled water and pouring it on your skin, into your dishwasher, clothes washer.

So, if you are thinking of building or remodeling, you may want to consider designing your home around this system instead. It will not only add value to your home, it will add value to your health, wallet and environment as well.

With California close to instituting a water softener ban, it may be prescient for you to consider installing a water purification system - whether it is just under your sink for all your drinking, food preparation and ice maker or you want to add to your hot water fixtures only or add throughout your home. PureOFlow has excellent financing programs based on approved credit.

The next time you raise a shiny glass, drink to your health and the longevity of your fixtures!

Is Water Treatment a High Priority?

As consumers, water is an important part of our lives. We need it for drink, food, bathe and clean everything around us from dishes to laundry to household maintenance. Many states in the U.S. are plagued with water quality problems - from the hardness in the water to legal dumping of pharmaceuticals by drug manufacturers into waterways which end up in our municipal water supplies.

What do we do as a result?
  1. We load up on bottled water for drinking - while this is inconvenient and expensive, it is also extending our petroleum dependency (manufacture and transportation) and these bottles end up in landfills, harming the environment
  2. We install whole house water softeners and probably an under sink reverse osmosis system or Brita or other filtration. Softeners just exchange one type of salt for another so the salts end up in the environment, damaging our water table. It also adds more sodium to our food intake as we use it to prepare foods. As we bathe, our pores open up and absorb the salts or other chemicals in the water exacerbating any skin conditions.
  • Water softeners also do not prevent scale buildup in water-related equipment making it less energy-efficient. For example, a 1/4" of scale build up in a water heater requires 40% electricity to heat the water. Scale buildup also encourages bacteria buildup.
Have you thought seriously about looking into other water treatment alternatives? Many in the industry advocate whole house reverse osmosis systems and no longer consider it a luxury but a necessity. Thanks to advancements in reverse osmosis technology from companies like Pure Revolution, whole house reverse osmosis is affordable and generates savings almost immediately through less use of cleaners, no more need for bottled water and in better energy efficiency. But, don't take my word for it, check out www.pureoflow.com and find out why our customers are enjoying all the benefits of taste and savings with a healthier alternative when they installed a whole house PureOFlow system powered by GE.

And, don't take water for granted ... give it the priority it needs.
